8th June - sharks and cliffs

Hermanus is a great place. Beautiful town, with many things that we could do in the area. I did some shark cage diving, while Rickey and Claud went for some lovely cliff walks. Also, because I took so damn long, we stayed in Hermanus Backpackers for another night, which wasn't all that bad either. A great place to stay, if anyone is interested in going down to Hermanus any time soon.
Sharks galore.
The skipper of our boat. Cool dude.
Shark in motion.

We also went to see a seal colony, but with my dinky little camera, I couldn't really capture just how many seals there are. You see the little blotchy patches? All seals. Thousands of them.
In the meantime, the lovely couple goes on cliff walks around Hermanus...
...saw some great scenery...
...posed for pictures...
...and saw dassies suntanning.
After a while, since I was still nowhere to be seen, there was more walking around and shopping to be done in downtown Hermanus.
Buddy, the resident dog at Hermanus Backpackers. Later that night, he made away with our cue ball when we were playing pool. Quite the wrestling match transpired in our attempts to get it back.
Eventually, I returned to Hermanus from the cage diving trip, and took a short walk to look at the cliffs.

A good day. But since I returned too late to leave for George, we decided to stay at the hostel for another night. But since it's a great place, no harm done.
